For the first official episode of Taste Talks Studio, I was honored to interview Dr. Allison Miner, a licensed dietitian and Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and Food Studies at George Mason University.
Throughout the episode, we discussed her experiences of working in different fields of nutrition. Whether it was individual or group consulting to provide the best-fitted needs for someone, Dr. Miner elaborated on her successful tactics of creating successful plans for all her clients.
We also further discussed her work in the Cengage Publication as the Diversity and Inclusion Subject Matter Expert Nutrition — The subtle yet noticeable inequalities within the nutrition field were the problems that she was successfully able to point out. Her astute observations brought attention to the disparities in access to quality nutrition and highlighted the need for systemic change in the field.
Dr. Miner's dedication to establishing an adaptable yet structured framework for individuals from diverse backgrounds to thrive in nutrition is genuinely inspiring and enlightening.
